Getting ready
Days started getting longer a month ago. I mean "longer" as in the kind of longer days where the nights are correspondingly shorter, and not the kind of "long day" you might find in phrases such as "I had a long day at work" (which seems to communicate weariness more than actual length of the work day anyway) -- those kind of long days started more than just a month ago.
So anyway, the above means that it is time to start back in with my sailing education and getting ready for the big boat launch this spring. I am rereading a couple of books* I bought last year, and trying to boost my confidence that I am going to be able to handle myself on the water. I'm not as confident as I'd like to be.
To encourage myself, I'm going to write here about how things are going.
